SUMMARY:Newtown Heritage Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Newtown Heritage Festival will be held on the May 27th. Our museum exhibits will all be open and free of admission charges on that day. We will also unveil new exhibits\, and introduce new objects in existing exhibits. \n  \nIn partnership with the Newtown Heritage Festival Committee our Manager of Collections & Programs Rick Kriebel has produced a tour of historic sites on the west side of town. Participants will ride in a trolley while listening to the tour guide narrate the points of interest along the way. The tour will occur at 11am\, and 4pm and while it is free tickets are required due to limited space. Reserve you seat by emailing NH*****@***il.com\, or at the Festival Tent on the Newtown Commons. Please arrive at the trolley 10 minutes in advance\, or risk forfeiting your ticket. \n  \nUPDATE: the 11am tour is already full. Thank you for all of your interest!

People dressed in masks and silly outfits to become belsnickels\, then went to their friends’ houses and see if they could guess who was who. If someone guessed right\, then that belsnickel took off their mask. \nSo guess what? We’re going to make a game out of this at Dragon Fire Comics! People who want to dress as belsnickels can do so\, while donating a can of food to keep up the generous spirit of the season. In the meantime\, we will have music\, Santa\, and the original Belsnickel. If you’re wondering who that is\, just imagine a grumpier Santa who knows how to make sure everyone has a good time. Belsnickel will check who’s naughty or nice this time\, and will be the one distributing presents.
