SUMMARY:Newtown Heritage Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Newtown Heritage Festival will be held on the 25th of May. Our museum exhibits will all be open and free of admission charges on that day. Each year during the Heritage Festival we unveil new exhibits and introduce new objects in existing exhibits. This year we will have a new exhibit at the Steele & Bro. Store that will be curated by our new Manager of Collections and programs\, Rick Kriebel. It will tell the story of the transition away from locally produced ceramics used for food preparation and storage to imported ceramics and glassware. In our main exhibits at the Newtown History Center we will be displaying and interpreting new materials associated with our forensic investigations at the Stone House as well as a few other articles worthy of your attention.
