November 5, 2016 @ 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Free

Executive Director & Curator Byron C. Smith has written an article on the life of Samuel Kercheval, the famed author of the History of the Valley of Virginia, a book that was originally published in 1833 in Winchester, Virginia. Smith’s article has been published in the 2015 issue of the Winchester-Frederick County Historical Society Journal that was released in August of this year to members of that organization. Copies are also on sale at their museum gift shop in Winchester next to Abram’s Delight.

In cooperation with the Winchester-Frederick County Historical Society Mr. Smith will be giving a lecture presentation and slide show that will expand on this article. It will be held on Saturday, November the 5th, at 11:00 am in the parish hall of the Trinity Lutheran Church, 810 Fairfax St., Stephens City, VA, just across the street from our museum. Please join us then!
